Having sold IRIS and Eureka software to accountants for 9 years I hit upon the idea of marketing for an accountancy practice with the aim of generating new business.
I approached a firm south of Bristol. The idea was simple. Let me have a desk and a phone and only pay me as I sign up new clients. Early mistakes were rectified and the results were a practice growth of just under £300,000 of new client fees in a 4 year period. I was made a partner and bought out. From here Accountancy Strategy was established in 2000.
The key to the success was following through the complete procedure from the appointment making through to the face to face meeting and winning the client. Because we have a clear understanding of the complete process and importantly because I came into the industry only being paid on results, the quality issue was key.

We have grown year on year and now occupy an office in Bournemouth where 8 of us have been working together for 5 years for accountants all over the country.
